Two research positions in the fields of Cooperating Objects, Cyber-Physical Systems & Sensor Networks are available at the Research Centre on Real-Time Computing Systems (CISTER). The Centre is currently looking to strengthen its research team in the CONET NoE research clusters and SENODs project on all levels: Senior Scientists, Invited Scientists and Post-Docs.
The candidates should have a PhD in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related fields. Particular expertise in Cyber-Physical Systems is a plus. She/he should also have an international publication record and ability to do independent research. Fluency in written and spoken English is required.

CISTER Research Unit, associated with the Polytechnic Institute of Porto, Portugal, invites applications for an “Invited Scientist” position to conduct research in the areas of Real-Time Computing and Embedded Systems. This position is initially aimed for 3 years, but a subsequent extension of the term is negotiable. Successful candidates are expected to devise and lead a research program in the aforementioned areas. Responsibilities include graduate student supervision, research proposal preparation for national and international grants, research collaboration both within and outside the unit, and graduate-level teaching of CISTER’s PhD students alongside students of other research groups in the context of doctoral programs at the University of Porto.

The CISTER/ISEP Research Unit has a Research Position available for a Senior Researcher to work in WSN. The successful candidate is expected to coordinate and primarily execute the activities of CISTER in the ARTEMIS funded project EMMON. The scope of the project is large scale wireless sensor networks’ communication protocols and data aggregation methods.
This position is for a three year contract. Salary will be 2.650,00€ per month (after taxes). CISTER research facilities and expertise offer an excellent research environment for leveraging research skills. The unit is located in the Polo Universitario in the nice city of Porto, Portugal.
